Extensions and Renovations

House Renovation, Stamford

September 19, 2024 by

Another commission where the owner wished to transform a modest 3 semi-detached dwelling into an executive 4 bedroom dwelling with open plan living to the rear garden. Extensions were required to the front and rear of the property and the entire interior was remodelled including the relocation of the staircase. With the choice of modern exterior materials and the client’s keen eye for interior detail this project exceeded our client’s brief and so much more.

House Renovation, Stamford

Located in the heart of Stamford, this dwelling was brought by our client with a view to creating a four bed executive dwelling. As can be seen from the images above the completed works have totally transformed the house and street scene successfully whilst meeting the clients brief in terms of living accommodation and on-site parking.

Kitchen Extension, Stamford

September 19, 2024 by

Although the project was a rear single storey extension by definition, the results are anything but a standard kitchen extension. Lantern rooflights were strategically positioned to provide light to the dining area and kitchen working area, but to leave the ceiling over the island unit to allow for feature lighting to be installed. By going bold with the kitchen unit colours the overall result is really striking.

A single storey kitchen extension and garage conversion transformed the living accommodation for the residents. These images show the kitchen / diner space with central island unit to connect the rear seating area to the kitchen. A sliding glass screen and vaulted ceiling to the extension help to drive light into the heart of the house so there are no dark spots.

Kitchen Extension, Stamford

Our client wanted a large open plan kitchen / diner, utility room, home office and downstairs WC. An outbuilding was taken down and replace with the new single storey structure with the entire corner of the original house removed to provide the space needed for the kitchen area. Vaulted ceilings with rooflights help to promote the feeling of space and light. Design features such as exposed brickwork and structural steel beams help to make this design really stand apart from the average kitchen extension.

Extension and Garage Conversion, Stamford

September 19, 2024 by

The combination of a contemporary rear extension and the conversion of the original garage into a guest bedroom suite really transformed this dwelling. With views into the heart of Stamford the extensions included the provision of an external patio area accessed by a large glass sliding screen. Being a tight space the garage conversion needed to feel light and inviting. We therefore elected to vault the ceiling and expose large sections of two of the original trusses. With fully glazed windows providing views to the rear garden and patio area this represents a very successful conversion.

Conservatory Conversion, Cottesmore

September 19, 2024 by

The original rear structure was a UPVC conservatory with dwarf brick walls. Our client wished to convert this space to a new kitchen extension and provide an infill extension to link to the outbuildings which were converted to a WC and utility space. The success of this project can be seem from the internal photograph which showcases the views of a generous private garden space.

Orangery, Bingham

September 19, 2024 by

With an expanding family, our client needed to increase the ground floor accommodation by providing a new dining space for a family of 5. Although the full width of the original house by carefully selecting materials, detailing, proportions and window styles to complement the existing host dwelling this extension felt like it had always been there when the keys were handed to the client.

Sunroom Extension, Peterborough

September 19, 2024 by

A single storey sunroom extension with a difference, the open vaulted roof structure has been enhanced by the feature windows and the timber clad ceiling. Care was taken to ensure the external materials exactly matched the original bungalow so the extensions blended in seamlessly.
